Lapchi Monastery, Dolakha

Lapchi Monastery (Mane) is located at Boch-6 in Dolakha District. This monastery is nearly 400 years old and survived the Cultural Revolution. It is dedicated to the Great Milarepa. Inside is a bronze figure of him. It is said that this figure was made by Rechungpa (his disciple) from his masters nosebleed. Another sacred relic is a stone taken from the site of Milarepa's death.

  1. Thank you Badrijee for the information about Lapchi monastery. But I couldn't understand "---survived the Cultural Revolution". Are you talking about the (Nepali) Maoist atrocities or the Chinese cultural revolution of 1960s?
